The current Alicante Bus Station opened on 1 September 2011, the result of a major urban development project aimed at modernising the city’s transport infrastructure. Its opening moved the old terminal from the city centre to its present strategic location on the Muelle de Poniente, next to the Port of Alicante, providing a functional, modern facility in keeping with the growth and development of the Costa Blanca’s capital.

The infrastructure is currently operated and maintained by the concession holder UTE Estación de Autobuses de Alicante 18/1982, made up of Alsa and the Vectalia group, ensuring an efficient service, properly maintained facilities and excellent connections for passengers.

As a key hub for road passenger transport, the station is open 24 hours a day, has 19 platforms and serves close to 200 destinations, including local, long-distance and international services.

The station also offers a wide range of services for passengers and operators alike, including a coach park, a car hire company and a café on the upper floor, open from 07:00 to 22:00.
